Hubsan X4 Star Pro H507A

Hubsan X4 Star Pro H507A is a GPS enabled drone with a professional looking app loaded with telemetry and features galore. H507A can only be controlled with your phone's wifi, which is either a convenience or a nuisance depending on what you prefer. But -- does all that do you much good with low control distance (~30m at best), short battery life (~7 min), and brushed motors...?

2018 update:

Hubsan has discontinued the model without the controller and dropped the price to $79.99 -- it looks like they listened to reviews like this. With a controller, and $20 cheaper, this drone is worth a look.

I've been seeing the H507A go for approx. $60 with free shipping out of California.

Also, because it is brushed, flying back-to-back batteries is a *VERY SEVERE NO-NO* -- I've had to learn that lesson the hard way. You'll blow out motors after just a few flights (yes, I really did learn the hard way!)

Also, my H507A came with a remote control that communicates with the app via Bluetooth. But despite that, I still have virtually no latency -- it's every bit as snappy and responsive as a drone that communicates directly with its radio.

The video quality is pretty good and I see no Jello which is nice! Nice app too. Too bad the gps takes so long to get a decent lock.

I just don't understand why they don't give you the controller option. The quad is 100 or if you want the controller it's 125. I bet most take the 125 option, they just kill there market share doing this crap.

Under 50% battery you can't do any of the FOLLOWING ME, OR orb . U need to do that accuracy test. .
The 502e blows that away ( cheaper. )

I don't get your review? It is a 49.00 drone that has alot going for it...I had the white H 501 A and it came with a 20 min batterie. It was my first drone and I learned how to operate it. Then I purchased the H 507 A X4 and it was a good drone to practice on....you are wrong by giving this neg views. It's a great starter to learn how to fly without losing 3 thumbs 👎👎👎 down for John...sorry no hard fellings. 😊

Another great review my friend, and yes could of been a lot better if it had a bigger lipo say a 1000mah and better fpv wifi range and it would be worth the price they are asking. Thanks for sharing the your perspective on the H507A
