Whats the point of calculating the Critical depth (4.27 ft) if it is not needed to find the answer?

I think when calculating the Fr you used the wrong value for the Yc. You put in 2.1 which = Y1, I think you meant to put in the 4.27 which is the value we calculated for Yc. Let me know if this makes sense?

When we find 4.27 ft, we could choose answer A. What is your advice on this case?

In the previous revision of this video, we showed the calculation for the critical depth, even though it isn't required to solve this problem. We've made it more clear that it isn't required in this revision. The calculation for the critical depth is a very related topic and calculation and was used to express how you might see an correctly-computed answer associated with a related topic presented as a red herring.
