Nobody has ever before taught me how to approach these types of number sequence exercises. This practice tutorial gave me the strategies I needed to crack a hiring assessment. Thank you so much!

Most of this was pretty easy, but I'm glad this is still here to help refresh my brain. I haven't done these in a while and was about to have to do them again, those prime numbers sure tripped me up a bit. Thanks for the video.

52:40 another method is: first see how many you subtract every time, so you get: -4131, -1377, -459, -153. Here’s a patron to be seen. It’s divided by 3 every time so the next one should be. -153:3=-51. This is correct because 75-51=24.

So when doing a test like this, is it a good idea to use a notebook on the side?

In the last example 57:30 in the additions,

if we added the first two numbers together and then added 1, it would give us the next addition number,

for example: the addition numbers are: 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, 25 if we do this: (1+3) +1 = 5 and (3+5) + 1 = 9 and (5+9) + 1 = 15 and so on,

so in the last one (15+25) + 1 = 41 and if we added 41 to 60 it would be 101

Damn, turns out I was making this way more complicated than it needed to be.
This really helped me to find the logic in these things, even though I still don’t see how being good at this could have any possible bearing on anything you’d do in the real world.

55:20 -
formula of this Number Series is "a_n + a_n+1=a_n+2" where n is element of the sequence ( for example a_3 = 10; a_4 = 17). substituting values into the formula: 10+17= a_n+2 (now "n" is 3) => 27=a_5
