Avem - Sonder

Показать описание
track taken from "Meridiem" out now via Wormholedeath / The Orchard / Wormholedeath USA.
'MERIDIEM'
Avem use this album to mix the ethereal with the natural and the historical with the deeply personal in a modern take on the alternative rock/metal genre. If you like dynamic rock music with a harder edge then “Meridiem” is for you.
Sonder
Strange I am
Discontent is all I feel
Not worthy of
Being part of your house
What is home?
Something more than heritage
A feeling born
Of souls opening to love
Who am I?
What a banal thought that is –
And still engraved
Into my very being
Someone wrote
Naught but “sonder” on my chest
A name unknown
And whose meaning I must chase
See, when I was just a child, growing wild
Like a careless bloom in endless room
I did not feel the thorns for real
But the taste of blood it hooked me up
You looked at me with eyes of worry
Your faces full of decades smiling
And said: “Forget this nest – all the best,
Go all the way, kid!”
Craving for a Brave New World
I promised you to find our land
A virgin soil for you to sleep in
While I grow to be your joy
Cause Man’s a drop in the sea
Longing to dew
Before the morn
Your wishes guided all the way
And like a compass through all odds
The dangers, the wonders, the Devil called Sonder
Were but stations towards our dreams
I scent the milk and honey of
The Promised Land
It lies so close, our Paradise
Where visions live
Where we belong
One last look back
When did I venture so?
Mother, Father,
Where are you now?
