About Dekton
Dekton is the perfect kitchen worktop surface: it's stain-, scratch and heat-resistant and comes in various colours. Dekton is created from the same ingredients into quartz, glass, and porcelain surfaces.
Sintering different compressed minerals at high temperatures (up to 1300oC) produce the material's composition (percentage). Mineral compositions vary by product, but aluminosilicates (clays, feldspars), silica (amorphous and crystalline), zircon (depending on the product), and 7% inorganic pigments are the most common.
Quartz, mullite, zircon (by-product), hematite (derivative), corundum (by-product), and anorthite/albite (by-product) are the principal crystalline mineral phases present in the material after the minerals have been sintered, and they are scattered in a matrix of primarily vitreous material.

Cosentino, a private Spanish multinational present globally, is the firm that manufactures and distributes aesthetic and architectural materials such as Silestone quartz worktops, makes Dekton surfaces.
