Anime Style Cutting with Templar Sword by Balaur Arms/LK Chen, Tatami Mats Refused to Fall Down

Did some crazy tatami mats #tameshigiri cutting action with the new Knights Templar sword by Balaur Arms/LK Chen. Multiple cuts were so clean that the mats did not even really realize they were cut in half and needed to process for a few seconds before falling over. Excellent mass distribution (distal taper from 5.7mm to 1.5mm), beautiful lenticular cross section and refined edge geometry all contributed to that! Review upcoming!

Blade type is an long (34.6") Oakeshott type Xa, with a long and broad fuller, lenticular cross section, and not very pronounced profile taper terminating to a short tip, not great for thrusting but fantastic for tip cuts. Would be used primarily in the 12th century, by both cavalrymen and infantries with large shields.

Sup m'friend, you forgot that "anime style" implies that the sword is 3 meters long and half a meter wide at least 😂 - Great vid as always! Oh and I think I owe you a reply on a convo we were having on one of your vids... so sorry for that. Oh and I love that sword. And if someone read this far, know that you don't need to sell your house to buy that sword :-)

Any tips on sword maintenance? How often should they be cleaned? Any products to buy? Should they be oiled?

Probably takes some time for these to arrive once you order them. 6-12 months?

Now hold the sword with your mouth and cut. That’s what you call anime style.
