Yeah, that’s really sad, man. Here’s a tip to avoid having this happen in the future. I only release mine near my base, but in a special garden area where I never drive my vehicles (then I tell my Cuddlefish not to follow me, then he’ll stay close to that spot, unless there’s a glitch). The garden’s also got to be built someplace safe from all hostile life forms (even less threatening ones like Stalkers and Sandsharks). Like the Safe Shallows. Somewhere no predators will be tempted to have it for a free meal. The Grassy Plateau biome is probably bad because of all those nasty little Biters that are constantly nibbling on anything within range. Think of a place you’ve never been attacked in by anything, ever, and that’s probably a safe place).
