The devil in Lithuanian folklore is a little naughty creature that causes favoc and inconvenience rather than the more threatening Christian devil 😂 the devil museum is great in Kaunas, it collects various symbols and artefacts of devils or equivalent creatures from all over the world, and it's very interesting to see how different cultures have the same kind of a character in their religions or folklore 😊 love from a Lithuanian subscriber! ❤

Book smuggling happened when ruskies forbade printing and writing in Lithuanian in early 1860s through 1905. Lithuania was occupied by ruskie empire then. It was ruskies' attempt to eradicate our culture and our language. So one of the ways of our people resistef that was smuggling books in Lithuanian along with having secret Lithuanian schools for children teaching our language, our history, etc.

Hill of crosses was one of the forms of our resistence against soviet ruskie occupation 1945 through 1990. People were putting up crosses anonymously in the secrecy of the night on that hill. ruskie soldiers and milicias would try to pull them out, and our people would just keep on putting them up there again and again. At night anonymously, so they wouldn't be killed by ruskie officials during the soviet occupation years. By that time Lithuanians were already catholics and clung to catholicism as a part of our culture and identity to differ ourselves from ruskies and their murderous "culture".

Us having colonies is not true. Colonies were held by some Curonian Something entity, a past political entity that doesn't exist anymore and didn't consist of Lithuanians and which was a vassal to Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. So no, we, the Lithuanians, didn't participate in and didn't take part in any shameful colonial crimes and genocides.

Hill of witches is an homage to our ancient Baltic roots, an homage to our ancestors. We were a pagan culture and most of our culture to this day has many traditions of our ancestors who were pagans - people who lived in harmony with, appreciated and loved nature. Witches were among many mithological neings our ancestors believed in. Witches did not represent evil in our culture.
The devil in the Baltic culture is also seen moreas a mischievous entity who lives in swamps, not as pure evil. Later on, due millennia of German knight orders' attacts on our kands and people, the devil was being called and seen as a "little german sir" (it's hard to translate the actual name into English).

Nuclear launch sites was installed by ruskies when Lithuania was occupied by soviet ruskies (1945-1990).

Just a correction, it’s 0.88 men to women, not 88 men to women. Means There’s a lot more women in Lithuania than men

Gotta do other Baltic states too 🙏🙏

We (Nepalese) people have roots in our languages (Sanskrit derived) that might've roots to these Indo-European folks

0.88 men for every 1 woman. Meaning that there is less men then women
