In 12 (a) couldn't you just figure out at the trigonometry stage, just half 90 degrees and find out it is 45 degrees? or you need to figure out it by trigonometry due to the drawing not being accurate?

in 19 b why was the negative done away with when in the factorization it was -9 why was the final answer positive 9 not 10?
