Показать описание
Originating from the late 19th century, Twa Recruiting Sergeants tells the tale of two recruiting sergeants from the Black Watch attempting to get young lads to enlist into the army. The song has deep links to the Black Watch, who are a fiercely proud Scottish regiment who have served in the British army in every major war since the Boer War with the exception of the Falklands War in 1982

The Maple 🍁 Leaf Forever from Canada 🇨🇦 should be included along with that well-known (I’ve unfortunately forgotten its name!) a really nice traditional song from New Zealand 🇳🇿, I think it’s of Maori origins, but i could wrong about that! This would make things then equally representative between all four countries.
