Self notes: 10mm socket, remove negative terminal first, 13mm socket, attach positive terminal first (test for sparks)

Long time watcher since I needed to watch the Mustang clutch video. You guys are extremely helpful, thanks!
I notice you don't put battery washers or dielectric grease on the terminals, just clean them. I've done that on cars, both naked terminals and battery washers, both of which wound up corroding, mostly the positive terminal. Only when I slathered the terminals in dielectric grease does that not happen. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the matter. Thanks so much for your videos!

I wish you had shown how to remove the hat-brimmed nut that goes on the J-shaped bolt for the hold-down clamp. On my 2007 Ford Focus SES ZXW Wagon, the nut hasn't been removed in over 4 years (2019-2023), so now it's stuck. Access to the nut is *very* limited. The only thing I have to get hold of it is a pair of pliers, approching the nut vertically. I've sprayed the nut above and below with WD-40 (thin straw attachment to the nozzle head), and tapped alternately on each side of the pliers with a small wrench to add force to the counterclockwise unscrewing motion, but nothing is shaking that nut loose. Any other suggestion, anybody? [F9-29-23-2008E]

It took me longer than 4 minutes (as my garage is full of a fitted kitchen and I couldn't get to my tools!) I also forgot gloves :-(. But yes, it is super-easy.

Only works if that 13 mm bolt comes out. Ford has it there and so I am faced with my not being able to get my battery out unless I go pay for power drill. Way to go Detroit
