Should these sweaters not be folded rather than hung ?

I don't understand why all the knitwear is hanging on hangers in the closet. Hangers are known to mis-shape the length and distort the shoulder lines of fine knitwear. It is recommended to fold knits flat and store on shelves or, preferably in cedar lined drawers for protection against moths. Was this whole try on just staged for the shoot?
