The plot of the one shot for those who are wondering is the guy confesses and makes a youtube video where he sings a love song to confess. The girl shares it and it goes viral as people notice unintended meanings and things in the video like the spanish subtitles denying god and ghosts appearing at specific timestamps. In the end he makes a follow up which nobody cares about because its another love song. The girl sits next to him, calls him cringey for making the two songs about drawing her in art class, and listens to the song with him. In the end the only one who cared about the songs true meaning and not the ghosts and made up meanings was the girl.

Havent read the one shot yet but from what ive seen if this is it then i think Fujimoto left it up to the viewer on how it ends to reflect back on us on how we take in failure, success, or mutual output.
Me personally I think that due to her shocked face and his blushing i think that even if it's rejection then they are still on good terms no matter what.
The face cover backpack at the end threw me off a bit then i realized that she is also listening to it and even looking at the video contemplating her own feelings, and I could tell that her face at the confession was shocked and not disgust or disappointment due to her seemingly calm demeaner throughout the whole thing which shows she doesn't want to hurt him and still cares which is why i think that they will be on good terms
