For years and years we have been using liquid nails and a 1 1/2" staple down the guts then 5/8" brads sideways in the top bars, the excess liquid nails fills the foundation groove and stops wax moths, then we wax dip both boxes and frames. We also wax dip all all gear in storage, through the winter when we get bored to kill off any wax moth, disease or spores, and to stop rot in its tracks.

I only have deeps, as a retired bee man, I only ever kept one size, everything interchangeable and since I retired I only have 8 frame boxes, because I can manage them better, I have mountains of 10 frame boxes but it suites me to keep eights, and I work one frame at a time, see even in my eighties i can still manage hives.

Many types of frames. Not talking deep, medium and shallow. Talking about wedge, regulars and the wired. Many people glue and use 2 prong staples. I made the wood frames myself, so slight variances batch to batch each winter time. Only frame I broke was Africanized hive #28. I dropped it cause I was stung on my wrist all the way around. New gloves were not sting proof.
