I know I can take care of myself in every way. I’m confident & love myself, so I can surrender to allowing a man to be chivalrous. It shows respect from the man to the woman, as well as showing the man she trusts him by surrendering. I don't open doors and carry things to show respect and admiration for women. That's rubbish. I open doors and carry things for anyone and everyone, including men. We all need a helping hand, and it's good to be thoughtful of others.

If a woman has a problem with me opening a door for her, that's a big red flag for me. It tells me she doesn't have the same mindset as me, and that she probably does not help other people or think of other people much. People who actually help other people would really appreciate it when they also receive help.

The Reason I stopped appreciating the door opening thing was because it seemed like it was just an onset idea that quickly evaporates when a foot gets in 'a door'. The last man that did that, I noticed he looked around to see who was noticing him doing that. So it seemed so plastic and haughty. I just like feeling good all the time and I have been working on boundaries much like u seem to already have covered. I like your points of view.

I taught my daughter to be independent. It has nothing to do with being a feminist and a woman to not be being treated with respect I think what you speak is simply chivalry!
My son 28 was in the army right out of the high school commercial plumber when he takes a girl on a date he pays for her that’s how it should be. My 25-year-old is dating a girl for three years. They know how to split their money that’s fine, my daughter works two jobs she’s not dating anyone when she find someone. I hope that man will take her a nice date whether it’s Taco Bell or to an expensive restaurant but I hope he knows to pay for the first date. That’s how I was brought up I’ve been married for almost 29 years by high school sweetheart, that’s just how it should be.
First dates the man should pay for the date first dates plan simple that’s just respect but there’s nothing wrong with a man if they don’t have the money at the time for a girl to pay for it it’s so sad to see these women nowadays young women giving up their bodies so quickly for money for sex and then expect men to pay for things I don’t understand it I just don’t understand it and then expect to be respected to be called ladies. It’s just so sad. They are all contradicting themselves come on children and that’s exactly what they are children, not ladies not women their children. If you do want to be respected, you have to stop and slow down and really know what you want because you are worthy and beautiful human beings.
