Our New Teppanyaki Electric Grill

This week a bought a Swiss Luxx Teppanyaki XL electric grill 1800 W. After seeing our friend, Dan Carr, use his, we were impressed enough to buy one.
In this vlog Karina unboxes it and we cook ourselves a cook breakfast whilst away with friends. The grill is from Swiss Luxx who specialise in low wattage and electric camping items. The electric grill is great if you have an external plug on your caravan or motorhome.
The Swiss Luxx cost us £31.99 from a caravan accessory shop. You can buy them online for a bit less but watch out for postage costs.

Thank you ever so much for the mention. It looks as though you like it as much as I do mine. As you say, worth every penny. We also found it very versatile for all sorts of cooking. Look forward to seeing it feature in a few more food vlogs 👍

I Like Watching This Video With You ---along with A Couple I just Saw on Youtube Using Teppanyaki Electric Grill. They had just bought one and were trying it out too !!!! I Just bought A Loeime Electric Teppanayaki Table Top Griddle Grill for grilling inside 2 weeks ago on ebay. I'm finally using it tonight.Bought I needed more information on how to start using it, the instructions I have do not clarify the temperature instructions with the temperature dial. I'm so glad to find 2 Great Youtube Sites on Using A Teppanyaki Grill. Thank You Susan In the U.S.A.

We love our Teppanyaki, it's ideal when caravanning and easier to clean than a BBQ. Win win👍

I bought one for 20 quid on amazon and its brilliant, use it all the time in the awning, great for doing bacon and eggs in the morning but also does loads of other stuff. When I'm done cooking I turn it off and put a square of folded up tissue paper in the drip tray to soak up the bulk of the oil.

Cracking bit of kit! We have an old one but are going to get a new one. That brekkie Jules was cooking looked tasty, me and him together at the breakfast table is lethal 🤣 nice one guys 👍

Hi, we've been converts to Teppanyaki cooking for the last couple of years. They are fantastic at cooking steaks too and Omelettes are almost instant! We bought one for our relations and they are big fans too - they've not used their Cadac since!
We've never had to increase the temperature above 2 1/2. One tip for cleaning - scrape off the excess food and oil with a plastic or wooden spatula while it's still hot as this makes it much easier to clean. It then just needs a quick wipe and you're done.

Hi Karina. That's the exact same as we bought which we got for the same reasons you've mentioned. We love ours. It's perfect. What we do is just have some kitchen roll handy and wipe off the excess oil as things are cooking.

I have a smokeless infrared grill. The oil will drip down to a tray at the bottom which makes easy cleaning. Love it. However I’m not sure whether it’s suitable for camping even though it isn’t big.

We’ve just got some of those silicone silicone egg rings from amazon Karina, makes doing eggs easier.. we love our Teppanyaki xxl.

Love our Teppanyaki. It even gets used at home sometimes too for steaks, for the price, they're a no brainer 😀 Cheers for this one folks and look forward to the next 👍

Good blog guys... Honestly guys the only thing good about the typaki is it’s easy to clean.. I made the mistake of replacing my cadac with this.. but now got rid of the typaki and bought another cadac.. the thing is u can’t beat the constant heat of gas where electric cuts in and out ... one minute the bacon is sizzling then next thing it ain’t.. it wasn’t my best purchase lol

We've have something similar but it's a large round hot plate with a glass lid ... paid £35 for it and it's done everything we would of done on a Cadac. Good review...

Had ours for over three years, perfect for fry up breakfasts whilst caravanning.
Loved ours that much I bought my in-laws one too.
The XXL gives you a lot more cooking area for not much more money though if there are more than two of you 👍

We chatted yesterday, I bought one having seen my friend using his, the Cadac will now be in the garage unused except for wild camping, great review, thanks. Another useful item is the electric skillet in Asda for £13, can cook stew, pasta curries etc in it.
