Every time I’ve seen this biome it’s almost always really small (with a few cases of it being large). I wish it was bigger on average, at least big enough for me to get a little lost in if I didn’t build up, because rn I can usually see a glimpse of trees outside of the forest even when dead center in it.

The creaking heart is a bit like fatwood from softwood trees (oak is a hardwood, but whatever). Resinous softwoods will often flood the tissues around a wound with extra resin. You can use this tree-torment to make a living tree modify itself into useful things like firestarters or extra-insect-proof timber.

I have the idea of "Shedding" variants of trees that essentially do that particle effect with the old trees

Datapack controls for biome specific music is amazing. Not only can you add new biome specific music to each biome but now you can have custom biomes with custom music.

brewing stands now dropping with fists makes so much sence. i remeber one time i started a new world (in like; 1.17/18 i think?); and was so happy that i spawned directly infront of a villager church that i went dirctly in to try to grab the brewing stand; and im still salty that i got nothing. it looks like it should drop!!!

Cool how they made music fade out when you're in the pale garden, though I wonder if they'll also do that with the warped forest since that biome also doesn't have music

Resin is a really cool material set. It is a pretty bright shade of orange, so I wonder how you and the other Hermits will use it in future builds.

Good to know that everything in the pale garden biom will be accessible even if you don't spawn anywhere near one. Wandering traders are truly the unsung heros of this game. So underrated. You'll probably need to trade with two, minimum, before you can craft a creaking heart though. The wiki hasn't updated to say how much or how many yet.

Resin blocks should be a new sticky block, like slime and honey, that doesn't stink the other sticky blocks? Considering they break instantly it seems like a possibility. It would also be cool if slime and honey couldn't stick to resin bricks, like how they interact with glazed terracotta, but resin could. And maybe they could add a similar interaction to honey and honeycomb? Give it a use beyond decoration. And maybe add a green block that only slime sticks to.

I love the falling leaves so much!!! And the fact that music will stop when entering the biome now?! That is SO PERFECT!!! It'll add to the liminal space feeling of the biome so much!!! Imagine it, you're playing Minecraft, exploring the dark oak forest, and one of your old favourite nostalgic music pieces is playing, and then you start to see the colour fade, leaves falling, suddenly everything is grey and the music just STOPS??? And you start hearing weird crackling??? :D :D :D plus the fact that the flowers, if consumed, blind you if they can see, and you grow dizzy if they're sleeping... this biome is so amazing!!! :D

IMO, they should swap the effects of the suspicious stews. Think it’d make more sense for the CLOSED eye to give you BLINDNESS rather than the open one.

really hope they add a way to harness the “only active when looking away” for redstone. Imagine a farm that automatically turns on and off when you show up

I think we need to have a texture change for the written book, like sure, a regular book with the enchantment glint works, but I feel like something more unique would be really nice to see

Instead of poisoned, the bees shoud become HOSTILE if they get into those flowers. That would be more fun.
