HOFF'S CREAMY HOMEMADE HUMMUS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

FOR PREPARING DRIED CHICKPEAS

½ lb. dried chickpeas, rinsed and sorted
7 cups water
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda

FOR MAKING HUMMUS

1 lb chickpeas prepared above or canned chickpeas
2 cloves minced garlic
1 TBLS Hoff’s Dirty Dust Seasoning Salt
5 TBLS fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 TBLS olive oil
¾ cup water
⅓ cup tahini

DIRECTIONS

Put dried chickpeas, 7 cups of water, salt, and baking soda in a crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours or 9 hours on low. Drain chickpeas.

Add cooked and strained chickpeas in a blender or food processor along with garlic and Dirty Dust Seasoning Salt. Blend for about 15 seconds, then scrape down the sides and process for another 15 seconds. Add lemon juice, olive oil and ¾ cups of water. Blend for another 20 seconds and then add tahini. Continue blending for at least a minute for a super creamy consistency.

Top with more olive oil, parsley and Dirty Dust!
