ACCEPTED art portfolio! - risd, scad, ut, pratt

this is my accepted college art portfolio!! i applied to 6 schools and got into all of them (surprisingly) including RISD, SAIC, UT Austin, SCAD, and Pratt!!
in this video i walk through my full art portfolio as well as my extracurriculars, grades, GPA, and SAT score so you can get a good idea of my entire application. this was highly requested so I hope you enjoy it and if you're applying to college soon i hope it helps!!! :)

As someone who went to RISD I see this and have no idea how I got accepted sometimes lol. Your work is fantastic, I'm not surprised at all you got accepted to all your choices! I hope you have a wonderful time. If you choose RISD, you will definitely have so much time to refine your craft. You really get close to your classmates and by the end no one is holding back during critique any more. It definitely helps you refine your craft and point of view. But whatever you choose, I just hope you have fun! :)

My suggestion: Go to a University you will enjoy, you will leave with the least amount of debt, treats their students well.

I have attended 3 universities as an undergraduate - I will be graduating in 4/5 weeks with a BS in Civil Engineering.

I was convinced I needed to go to the best engineering university but I was miserable for many reasons.

I am now going to a university where I get a refund back each semester, my college advisors and staff go above and beyond, and there are many resources available to students. I am no longer miserable 😂

As an aspiring artist, this was a little discouraging for me with the self-doubt, etc., But by the end of the video, I had a better state of mind and I am now inspired to keep improving my art so I can pursue my passion!

You have some of the most technical skill I've ever seen. College will definitely help you think outside the box, not saying you don't, but beibg around other talented-creatived you'll open your mind much more

I found it interesting that you said you haven't done enough self portraits when all of your pieces were self portraits to a degree
