Amazing Sticky Feet of a Day Gecko | Madagascar

Geckos are able to climb up almost any vertical surface without falling. This is because of the lamellae on the bottom of their large, flat toes that act as an adhesive. Think of the lamellae as little suction cups on the bottom of the gecko's feet.

They have many tiny hairs per foot called setae, each of which splits off into hundreds of even smaller bristles called spatulae. These help maximize contact with a surface.

Geckos are known for being expert climbers, able to stick to any surface thanks to tiny hair-like structures on the bottoms of their feet.
