The Power of Diversity: Rui-Li Inge at TEDxYouth@SeaburyHall 2014

Bullying is a "hot topic" in today's world, and people are constantly looking for ways to erase one of the country's biggest plagues. Many are put-down by bullying, but Rui Li-Inge uses her own personal experiences to show that being different is, not a weakness, but a strength.

Rui-Li Inge is currently a senior at Seabury Hall. She moved to Maui four years ago after having lived in Japan for eight years. She loves animals and hopes to pursue a career in biology.  Rui-Li plays the alto, and baritone saxophone and participates in various school sports: volleyball, basketball, and softball. During her free time, she likes to volunteer at the Humane Society, read books, and listen to Beyonce.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
