Puff Vinyl with a Cricut EasyPress: A Complete Guide!

Hey, here's a video I made showing you a few simple techniques to get really great results with Puff vinyl and a Cricut EasyPress. What's the secret? Even pressure and consistent base layer.

I've got 3 different brands of HTV, and it's a chance for you to see how these different products perform head to head:
– Siser EasyPuff in white, yellow and neon yellow
– WALAKut Puff in neon blue
– FashionFlex Puff from @SpecialtyMaterials in lilac

This video shows three techniques for making t-shirts: applying puff vinyl directly on fabric, applying puff on @Siser StripFlock Pro HTV, and applying puff on both fabric and stripflock in the same design.

The main takeaway is: don't be intimidated by puff HTV! It's highly variable, and some people get discouraged when their results don't match expectations. All it takes is a bit of patience, the will to do a bit of testing and using the other easy tips shown in the video.

Some people say you can't get good puff results with an EasyPress, but here's all the proof you need that you can get great results without professional quality equipment. Puff is for the people!

Your voice sounds so much like Mr Crafty Stax, LOL! Thank you so much for such a great tutorial! I don’t have room for a heat press beyond the Cricut Easy Press so I really appreciate your focus on how to get the best results with that tool. 🙏

This video makes me want to try this. Crafting on a budget If. With my luck the last one is always the best with no more material lol. This way even with errors I may make are doable and worth giving it a shot. Thank you!!!!

Great tutorial. I had not heard of strip flock so I will definitely try some out with my puff because I’ve had the same results with that white puff on my StarCraft heat press

I just got some Siser Easy Puff HTV & now I feel good about pressing it, I’ve seen some horrible reviews online & I was worried about trying this but now I’m excited to try!

Interesting!
All my puff vinyl musst be put SHINY SIDE DOWN because the shiny side is the carrier.
So shiny side down, mirror the design, cut, harvest, than press!
How could it make sense to cut it from the shiny side? Cricut can’t even cut through the complete vinyl! So that’s why it won’t work.
That’s what I learned by using puff vinyl myself.
At 04:01 it’s written in the screen “place shiny side down”, but haven’t you told it vice versa when you explained it?

Where do you buy your puff vinyl? The supply store I use only had Siser and no purple shades available
