Okay, let me say this. You are the BEST teacher on the youtube by far. I have been looking for a teacher and now I have the best one- Katharine. I love that your teach us about the British culture as you teach us about the British English. This is FANTASTIC. Please Please upload more videos. I watch your videos everyday now as I want to adopt your accent and learn more about the British culture.

This is amazing! I was brought up in an English speaking environment, but in different accent and pronounciation, and I am so surprised that a lot of words sound differently than I have learned before. In Malaysia our teachers used to teach us like "Fe-bu-ra-ri", "Tiu-ss-dei", "Joo-we-li", "li-te-ra-tur", "part-ti-que-le-ly", "lai-bu-la-ri" etc, and it built into our brain for generations, include my parents and grandparents too, until they were exposed to foreign media.

Your accent is beautiful, and your explaination very clear. The IPA sometimes conveys confusion into the learners' mind. Thank You very much indeed.

Hi! :) I used to speak like a native, with an RP but hadn't practised spoken English for a few years and it got so awful that I'm struggling with pronunciation now and I hate it! I've lived abroad for almost 2 months now and use English every day, am in the process of trying to get RP back. Your accent is beautiful, please keep the videos coming, they'll be a huge help for me! Thanks :)

The pronunciations you gave in this video is I think natural english because when I look at Oxford dictionary British pronunciation they are a bit different. For example- February(februəri), Tuesday(tjuːzdeɪ)

I love the way you used in giving informal words and expressions for formal words. To us nonnative speakers, this is a nightmare and I personally still struggling with it. I want you to think about an ambitious plan of giving spoken alternatives to most or all formal words. Though this task is enormous, yet it is worth it. Give it a think and let's know what you think about my suggestion.

Hi Katherine. That indeed was a great video. Its quite practicle.
I am an EAL Teaching Assistant working with Non-native English speakers. So I exactly am able to appreciate the high functionality of this video.

Would you come up with more pronunciation videos with hacks, please?

Thanks for your videos and explaining pronunciation. For me its the hardest to learn. And where I come from we didn't learn it. I moved to the UK ten years ago and I thought my pronunciation getting better but im realized watching your videos that is very bad.
Can I request to make a video how to pronounce strategy, cucumbre, moustache?
