I was blown away with all the rights I had as an employee when I moved to Europe. Talk about culture shock to have 25 paid vacation days ON TOP of paid holidays. That didn’t even include any paid sick or family leave. The USA is so behind the rest of the world.

Parents in Canada get 52 weeks of maternity leave. The mother can take the 52 weeks or split it with her husband or significant other as they see fit.
