Cuphead DLC - One Hell of a Dream - ft. Ms. Chalice

This is my completion of One Hell of a Dream. I didn't realise what the main gimmick of this fight was until after I beat it. Whichever direction you phase is the side that the Demon appears on, the Angel is always behind you. The Demon has deadly fireballs and a pillar of fire, while the Angel just has nice harmless singing. This fight feels pretty nerving due to multiple factors. The loading screen hourglass is dead (R.I.P Hourglass 2017-2022), the fight takes place in what seems like the Astral Plane or Hell, but it's definitely in a dream. You fight the conscience of the Devil while his skeleton sits in the back holding the platform you stand on. The death quote not being in quotes, implying that the boss isn't saying that to you, but rather it's a statement the game is making to you. It's all really off and kinda feels wrong in a way. I heard that this was originally an unused phase in the Devil fight, which makes sense. You can easily tell where in the fight this would have taken place. I kinda wonder how that fight would play out with this phase in it.
