Tiamat | Entity of Primordial Chaos

Показать описание
In Mesopotamian lore, in the beginning there was naught but an endless dark sea of swirling chaos, from which came Tiamat. Often portrayed in modern art and media as a large dragon or a sea serpent, Tiamat embodies the primordial chaos from which the world was born. Her union with Apsu led to the creation of the first generation of gods. However, these new gods would push Tiamat into waging war on her own children, culminating in an ultimate battle with Marduk!

MYTHOLOGY HAS BEEN TOLD AND RETOLD IN MANY FORMS ACROSS TIME, STORIES AND ACCOUNTS MAY VARY.

I think Taimat is a shapeshifter, this is why you will never have a set description.

Thanks for a wonderful video! As an 80s kid Tiamat was one of AD&D's ultimate villains and the queen of all the evil dragons.🐉

Looong time ago, Earth was called "Tiamat", it had a Moon called "Kingu" and through the rotation of this galaxy the fire planet Marduk crashed with Tiamat. That crash caused that Tiamat was cut in half. Tiamat was a hollow glass-planet with about 40.000 miles in diameter and this is why the left over "half" became our Earth. The cut is hot (lava and magma) due to the fire-Planet Marduk. The tectonic Plates are the down-cooling pieces of the cut, this is why we still have earthquakes and volcanoes erupting. The firmament has certain "openings" - biblical called "Windows of Heaven" (Ref: Malachi 3:10 ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in!’) and this is how everything could enter into this half hollow Earth. In short, we live now on a flat "cut" and the other half is the firmament, made of glass and crystal (Ref: Ezekiel 1:22). Most of this can be found on cuneiform clay tables from the library of Nineveh.

Tiamat was also one of the Titans in the MonsterVerse (and we finally get to see her in Godzilla: Dominion). She was previously contained in Stone Mountain, Georgia before being awakened by King Ghidorah, and she later fought against Godzilla (she was defeated, but not before nearly killing the King of the Monsters). And she previously killed a member of King Kong's species (giant, gorilla-like apes) in ancient times.

Two completely different mythology channels did this topic at the same time. What ate the chances?

After reading Godzilla Dominion and looking at arts from DnD, Tiamat ie becoming my favorite mythical dragons or a sea serpent.

I find it absolutely amazing mostly all mythologies are all so similar. And so much sadness betrayal and sorrow

Tiamat is my matron goddess and idk what I would do without her. She helped save me and I thank god everyday for Tiamat. It’s good to be back posting after years of brutal depression. Hail Tiamat 🙌🐉🩵

Great video! Would have loved a video of Marduk, since he's the hero in the Babylonian story!

Another creation myth which tells the world to have begun from primordial sea. It is so common it almost has to refer to the massive world deluge which restarted the civilization 12, 000 years ago.

As a pagan, i like Tiamat. I believe that she gets a bad wrap not only from media itself but rather paganism too.

I will admit that we pagans have always been a bit "Fluffy" and if we see a chaotic or dark deity, we are quick to demonize them. That's why she died in her myths.

She was the only one who stood up for us for being well, us. While the "good" gods wanted us dead for making to much noise. And this isn't philosophical either like if we destructive or anything. One of the gods literally wanted us dead because he couldn't sleep because of our noisiness. Tiamat saw the positives of humanity and defended us, until she was killed because she defended us

Can you make a couple of videos talking about orcs, goblins and ogres?

Also Tiamat was made into a main villain in the popular tabletop game, Dungeons and Dragons.

I'm gonna guess many cultures from the Middle East the mediterranean and parts of Europe took a lot of influence from this mythology of a storm God battling against a giant serpent or dragon. 🌩⚡️🐲🐉

The only Tiamat I knew before your video was the five-headed dragon from Dungeons and Dragons.
