This is a brilliant visualisation of ‘The parts are identical, until they aren’t’. Just because a part claims to be 1 to 1 with another, doesn’t mean it is.

My skill set isn’t engine blocks, but turbochargers and superchargers; the amount of kit that claims to be “Ready to build” or “Made to the same specification and tolerance to OEM” often needs as much finessing, testing and checks as rough parts that you expect to need that degree of work. Some OEM parts need as much prep for the best results. Nothing is perfect, but the closer we can get to perfect, the better the product the customer gets back. Dave and his team have the same mantra as me, don’t take anything for granted; do it right, first time and every time.

🤣...these guys don't miss!!!...with the knowledge...dropping gems we never knew we needed. Can you imagine how many new builds have done blowed up due to "new heads" that were just pure crap straight from the factory??? Dave is the truth when it comes to engine building no doubt.

Yeah never trust ANYTHING right out of the box…what most people don’t know many spare parts are most often quality control rejects from the assembly lines (especially NOS or CAPA CERTIFIED)…if a part fails QC check they don’t throw it away, they put in a parts box and sell it to shops and unsuspecting customers. Most places won’t do the required machining to put the parts back into spec…good of you to show this in real time, great video Dave 👍

I was a U.S.Air Force aviator for 24 years and precision and accuracy along with excellence is what we did every day. After watching Dave and his crew in all the videos on here I have to say they do the same thing in everything they do. I would love to bring my truck down and have you guys work on it.
