The Scania Longline is one of the most iconic trucks on the road and this was one of the Best, Unfortunately, she is far from her former glory with a broken cab and the repair and never mind the condition of the interior.

I’m not a big truck fan but this one needs to be saved.. it might look a state but the cab repairs are the main expense. I wouldn’t send it back to Holland to get the cab conversion redone. There’s plenty of local Scottish and further UK bodybuilders that will do the conversion in alloy and do a far better job at the structural side.

Is it worth doing financially??.

Innovation and inspiration is never cheap. But think how many young, and even experienced drivers or one man transport businesses, have seen this truck as their inspiration to work harder and make their businesses the best they can and aspire to have something close..

The state of that interior broke my heart as a former employee at SNT

Somethings deserve to be saved & as a part of UK trucking history this needs to be saved. Saying that I’m glad I’m not paying the bill 😂

Was with Phil when it got best in show at Cinney. Absolutely stunning truck with 100% attention to detail and he kept it mint. Hope Stuart brings it back to its former glory. Nice to see Quinney and Raz also 👋

Trouble with the long line cab this government will have you paying council tax it's like a house inside.

Great video. Like Sandy said this truck was something special when they first got it. It still is as longlines as so rare. Thanks for SNT letting us see this truck in detail.

I would have a longline before i would have a t-cab. I think they look better and more manoeuvrability, not to mention the space inside them. I wouldn't be surprised if a new one doesn't arrive in britain in the future. Great video and hope SNT can restore it back to its glory days. You might even get the job taking it over to holland Sandy🤞

If I won the lottery I would love to own a longline. I thought they were called XXL though so learn something new everyday. A Scania longline is my dream to own and own a double deck trailer converted to a camping trailer I would love it.

I love the longline. Big cab space and a large surface area for some airbrushing. If truck was mine I’d completely gut it out, reinforce cab so it never cracks again, upgrade cab ram, all new interior and exterior bling

It definitely needs to be brought back to it's former glory it's an awesome looking truck and it should be preserved.

Painful to see the interior in that state in particular, fair play to SN for getting it back, helluva project

Would be amazing to see this in former glory amd upto scratch. Like how you said dont hate the former owner too, touch of class. Never know what someones going through. A new cab might be the cheaper option but im sure Stuart will have the right ideas in his head. Like the braveheart longline but im not a fan of 4x2’s. So this takes the crown for me. Twin tag suits it well. New cab, new paintjob, big stacks up the rear, nice dark interior with red lights all round would look mint. It was the talk of truck forums when pictures came out of it recently so imagine if Stuart brought it back to its glory again. Would be a show stopper. Literally. Would love to see it at a truck show again. Truckfest Scotland 2026 should be a good goal setter

Nice video, good to have a look around. I'm surprised that a company like that didn't have the engineering expertise to for see the bending problems that long term road use would have on a structure of that size. I hope who ever gets the long line does have the budget to get it right. So many people get them with good heart, but don't have either the funds or talent to build it.
Both Dave Miller and Graham Cordener's Scania had the similar problems in later life. I used to see Dave's truck nearly every week as I used to run to Italy with my old mate Roy Peckham who bought it from Dave.
Dave Fairweather, who was partners with Geoff Byford ( Big red Western Star) in CDC bought and restored Graham's longline aerodyne, but was in 2 minds to scrap it as it was so bad.
Mike Hammond who built the Southern Comfort long line F88 at Yeoman's in the mid 80's had the same thing. The only one I know that didn't bend was Mark Stewart's Astran Scania, cause that went on fire in Bulgaria a couple of years after he built it. Back in the early 80's when it was built in Saudi it cost him 2 and a half grand for the conversion. And he got an engine re build at the same time for 1800 quid.
