Some Very Confusing Weapon Balancing... (MWIII Season 5 Patch Details)

The Season 5 update in Modern Warfare III came with a handful of weapon adjustments and while some of them make sense and were welcome changes, others are extremely confusing. Today, I wanted to cover all of the details of this balancing with before & after comparisons whenever possible. How are you feeling about the changes they've made with this MWIII update?

UPDATE: Sledgehammer has confirmed they'll be making some adjustments to improve the COR-45 after all of the feedback they've been getting after this patch!

The COR-45 got destroyed, the FJX Horus keeps on getting damage range adjustments, the MTZ Interceptor got nerfed for the 20th time… Yep. Standard SHG weapon balancing patch.

I spend hours playing Warzone on the daily and I can assure you that no one was using MTZ Interceptor prior to the nerf.

Why are the devs incapable of doing proper balancing. Like seriously the stalker now one shots anywhere but the victus can't one shot to the lower torso. Absolute travesty. Like have they even seen the minibak

6:00 there's a crazy Mastercraft bundle coming in for the XRK Stalker, so that might be why they buffed it and didn't care about the KATT

Who actually uses the MTZ interceptor anymore? SHG has a patern of overnerfing guns in this game.

I love the COR 45, and it didn't deserve a nerf.
I love the XRK stalker, and it didn't need a buff lol.

What they should do with the stalker is add the damn weapon charm! It's been missing since the game came out.

The fact that they didn't nerf the superi's damage or even its damage range is mind boggling to me

My only guess is that, since the Cor 45 is your starting pistol in Warzone, they wanted to incentivize players to get loot instead of challenging one another in the first second of dropping in.

Even I am extremely confused by the Cor-45 nerfs. I never see anyone using it, usually always a Karambit or Renetti. If anything, adjust those instead of touching a gun that isn't even used.

I'm still so confused as to why they decided to destroy the Cor-45 instead of buffing the other Semi-Auto pistols to be comparable. Nobody's gonna wanna use any of them now, and are just gonna rely on the Renetti and Auto-Pistols.

Jeez, the COR-45 pistol has been the clear choice when it comes to semi-auto sidearms and it’s now less popular for many people cuz of the pathetic TTK and fire rate even with the ROF-improving trigger attachment and it acts like the Renetti with the JAK Intimidator aftermarket part, but the XRK Stalker buffed its damage multiplier and it’s now my favorite sniper in the game. There’s no doubt when it comes to the XRK Stalker.

7:15 SHG has since given an update that the changes to the COR 45 were overkill, and they have made changes that should be rolled out soon.
