There's another way to access Symbols, go to GBoard Settings > Preferences > scroll down at bottom > turn on "Long Press For Symbols". symbols will show smaller in Top Right of the letters and when you "Long Press" a hinted symbol in a Letter, the symbol will show.

I do like the sliding spacebar stuff and a lot of stuff people mention in these types of videos I usually end up finding out myself. Unlike most people I mess with the settings for hours straight before even using the device lol. I wish that mote keyboards used finger spread to have the iPhone 6S, 7, 8, X, style text selection. 3D Touch is the best feature on a device not just iPhone. 3D Touch should be standard on all devices.

Used Gboard then was pissed they removed the Google icon to look for things.. hope it comes back! Then I fell in love with MS SwiftKey... Incredible!! Now I'm back with Gboard only because the mic captures my voice much better than SK. .. if SK can fix there mic I would go back to it.

But both are good.
