Great review! I've had my '21 PAS for almost 3 years now, and 38k miles later, probably the best bike I've owned, and I've owned a lot. Absolutely love it!

Great to watch a positive video about the pan america. Best bike I've ever owned. For a bit of fun on the roads I made my own riding mode. Copy sport, throttle response on max, engine breaking on max and suspension setting on road mode which I think is the comfortable setting. For the twisties I do everything the same but suspension set up on sport. Its really fun. I've only done bumpy tracks but I'd like to attempt more off road riding, I live in Spain and hope to ride to Morocco and reach the Sahara, have a little play about in the sand with the pan america and head back home. Thanks for the video

Good review. I absolutely love my ‘22. You’re spot on, so much fun on and off road. So capable.

2023 model has made quite a few improvements - and reliability is steadily improving (wind shield holder, heat shield, cable route etc). I'm hoping that 2024 model is better. HOWEVER - kick stand NEEDS WORK! And TFT screen needs bigger font!

37, 000 kms on my 21. Heaps of problems until replaced starter clutch under warranty (as were 2 exhaust headers). Had to replace clutch plates recently. Love the suspension and power in sport mode. Rode around Australia

Now own a PA and a GS - after riding both in varied conditions my go to is the PA. Don't get me wrong, the GS is a great ride but I find the PA inspires more confidence (especially off road) and is an amazingly fun ride to boot.

Agree with everything you said. I love my Pan America, the power is amazing. The adjustability through the different ride modes and the custom moves gives you so much more flexibility and adaptability to the way you want to ride.

Haven't gotten it off road yet, looking forward to that in the Spring/Summer.

Cheers mate!

Good to see folks enjoying theirs. My 22 PAS is garbage. In and out of the shop for electrical issues with cruise control and fueling. Bike has died on me while riding 2X. Bad battery and bad wiring harness. No confidence in the bike at all.

First and last Harley.
Unfortunately.

I had a KLR650 for 10 years and ran a 18x2.5 on the front. The bike felt like a 250, but did I get criticism! I agree with your comments on wheel size. I ran the 18 only because of tyre selection, but now would choose the 19x2.5. Top review. Thanks for posting.

I owned one for about 3 months. I loved it! I wish I could have kept it. The Pan America was going to be my secondary bike to ride alone and going places I wouldn’t go on my Ultra Limited. Unfortunately, a financial setback (home repairs came up suddenly) caused me to need to sale the bike. If I can ever get back to where I was financially before I will own another. I won’t sale my Ultra Limited. That’s the bike I use for touring the country with my wife, 2-up.

Great content. The Harley Davidson Pan Am is a great bike. I took mine out this afternoon in the freezing cold just because I had to get a ride in. It wasn’t far but it got my blood going a little bit. Your content and advice is appreciated.

I hear a rumour they will be bringing out a mid-size version of this bike soon, sounds right up my alley.

All right now. You've got my attention. I'm absolutely looking at the V strom 800. I love that yellow bike. But now. I've subscribed. Nice video. Thanks. The fender extensions the racks, frame upgrades, heat protection, shifter, electronics, So cool. Wow. Thanks for this.

Great review. I'm looking at this, the new BMW R1300GS, and Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. I currently ride a BMW K1600GTL and love the tech. We'll see.

Great review Mal! Got mine as soon as they were released and it’s been flawless! I love it! Never out of sports mode. Complete exhilaration! Writing this from Warrnambool after a 2 day ride, haven’t been off it since I arrived and can’t wait it to get back on it for the ride home! Never have regretted buying it, but quickly tempered that sense of loss of not having the cruiser and bought a BMW R18B Bagger! Completely different bike of course, but I love what both companies have done with these incumbents into traditional markets!

I am seeing 21 Pan Am’s coming up for sale at $12, 000. It is tempting because they feel almost every single one of the checks on my list but honestly they’re a liability issues are just a dealbreaker. If I wanted to buy another bike, that would leave me stranded and require a 300 mile tow followed by a two week wait for the repair under warranty. I’d buy another BMW R1200 GS.
