A quick foraging dive for some coastal mussels. I never get to do this because the ocean thats local to me is too warm so this was a special treat.

I've been sailing since I was 8...when we were kids, we used to get mussels off the rocks next to the yacht club then drop them onto a piece of corrugated iron over a fire down in the they popped open they were done...delicimo.

That white wine and tomato sauce is my favourite way to demolish an obscene amount of mussels Rod! I usually confit a heap of garlic and use about 12-15 cloves of it post confit along with chilli, Cherry toms, passata and a heap of basil. Just the best for a cheap seafood feast I reckon 😍 Hope the water wasn't too cold for your little northerner toes mate 😉
