Talking Watches With Jake Bailey, Joe Cardona And Nick Folk Of The New England Patriots

Today's Talking Watches is more than just our first episode of the new year. It's also the first time we've featured three collectors in a single video. What can we say, they work as a team.

The team in question is the New England Patriots. And the players in this episode are punter Jake Bailey, long snapper Joe Cardona, and placekicker Nick Folk.

Their work on the field has made them close friends, and has led them together down the rabbit hole of watch collecting. While a lot of athletes play a perpetual game of one-upmanship to see who can be first to wear the latest hype watch, these guys buy vintage Seikos for one another as gifts, they influence each other's high-dollar acquisitions, and they share personal stories together about what each of their watches means to them.

And don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to our channel. Thank you!

I love how they actually love the watches, and put meaning in all of them, right down to Seiko's; not just a bunch of unrelatable rich dudes buying super expensive pieces because they can. One of the best Talking Watches ever! Hopefully Hodinkee returns to this sort of content.

Being a resident Bostonian, watch enthusiast, and life-long Pats fan, and working for the Air Force (just like my dad), this video is just too awesome. Loved hearing all the stories about the watches, seeing this filmed in southie, and also covering the last two SB wins!

I actually love that they started out with the Pogue and the Willard. Great to see some very cool vintage Seikos, and legit vintage Rolex too. This was a surprising TW episode! Loved it.

Always interesting to see how watches can unite all kinds of people. From a craneoperator to sports athletes.

I am not that much of a Rolex fan anymore but I really like that you can actually see that buying these watches was a momentous occasion for these guys and not an "I have too much money, this is nothing for me" situation. It kind of humanizes the story of these watches for some reason.

Pretty cool to see how down to earth they are. I like the way they see the watches as heirlooms and not flashy wrist candy. Good taste all

It’s nice to see some lower price point collectors. Watching guys lay out their 50 Patek’s and really not even care about them was getting old. I’d like to see more eclectic collections with stories behind the watches like these.

Bro if this guy just wears a 6264 Paul Newman out and about, that’s wild. That’s a quarter of a million dollar watch.

So happy to see some seikos on hodinkee, the pogue and cpt Willard are classics - beautiful pieces.
And then they jumped back in to the same Rolex pieces we've seen almost every damn episode of talking watches. Daytonas and Subs are everywhere, while these guys have personal stories attached to their Rolexs, I think the seikos are way more interesting
