You basically can't defend that shit especially when you have teammates who save their utils like brothaaa. They need to take that map out.

The issue with valorant in general is the amount of maps where the plant allows for the attackers to play off site and spray the bomb. Both Pearl sites, Haven C and B, Ascent A, Lotus C and B, Both Icebox Sites, Both Breeze Sites and Fracture A site all have popular plants where the most optimal post plant position is to give up the site and just spam. At high levels it makes retakes feel so luck based, and in the pro scene is just boring.

that was me (T_T) I asked in Sliggy's chat if reducing the plant area would help. Chamber Nerf really killed Any chance of successfully holding B site. Harbor or other agents you can barely delay the pushes but that happens almost instantly after the barrier goes down, the Long is practically free to just run down all you need is one initiator to scout it out... unlike earlier when Chamber needed to be cleared with multiple util or someone peaking and killing.

My 5 stack(Diamond-Ascendant average elo) literally farm wins on pearl by permanently pushing B on defense with utility and fighting early. It's literally better to play the 40/60 in their favour at the beginning of a round than to try a retake . Not getting fked on defense is good enough to secure Ws

I feel there should be some type of double door on the right side of long. Just past the defender buy barrier so you can swing right at the start of the round. It breaks up that insanely long sightline so in post plant it’s a lot harder just to spray and get a kill. That way you have to peek from the left and expose yourself more to site

As a sentinel main I either sit and hold B or preferable sit on A have 1 or 2 mid and 2 on B holding hard

I enjoy pearl b a lot as an opper, such a long range area is so fun, but I do get that it's terrible for pro play

Man defense on pearl is the probably the easiest

But it can be pretty hard to push onto b if there is an op crutch but they can also just smoke them off

KAY/Osage on Pearl is my fix, Sage walls herself off lengthways on retake and KAY/O knifes/ults the enemy’s long, Sage should have time to at least get it half while retake team tries to contest the bullet spam

Pearl, double Controller (Viper + Harbor probably the most disgusting) + Killjoy... free won wounds when you attack B. Solution: Ban map when you play a tournament.
