Love him or hate him. Chris Pratts acting in this scene is phenomenonal. This scene is one of the only ones in a film I've teared up at. Quills denial that his friends died and fear in this scene alone is so well conveyed through Pratt.

When he cries “NO!” You can feel his desperation and the realization that he is about to lose another friend. Really powerful acting. And then a few minutes later when Nebula hears rocket is alive and Mantis tells him how much he is loved hit me hard too.

Quill wouldn't have been so desperate to save rocket a few films ago. He still would have tried of course but its the fact he's lost so many people close to him that he refuses to lose someone else. He's lost his mum, his biological father, his adoptive father, the love of his life and now here he isn't about to lose his best friend too

I cried in this scene... cried for Rocket's near death and for Rocket's brief and heartfelt reunion with his Lylla and his deceased friends, even for Lylla convincing Rocket that he still had both worth and purpose.
