If I was the protagonist, I would be nice to and appreciate the Pizza Man's kindness despite the hell I was being put through.

Can relate to this game as retail staff for many years here. Through, the only thing worse during the Pandemic freak-outs were people buying out alcohol wipes to the point of attempting to substitute baby wipes, compared to toilet paper sales people at Walmart ended up going full-down "Just give me them!!! You have to be hiding them in the back!", "These'll work anyway"", or (if I literally had just brought out new stock and they had a kid they needed it for) "Thank God for your kindness! I couldn't find these anywhere else!"

I always liked that last group the most because at least they weren't full mob-mentality on getting things.

As a customer service worker, I agree that we waste away at work. Customers are like zombies and everyday I’m sitting there having to force myself to smile and *not* fight them for raising their voice at me

And this is why, even as tired and worn out as I am, I do my best to make other people smile. Wear a silly hat, open doors, you can be kind and polite without ever having to put on a fake smile and speak. I look for ways to do this, because we all need more reasons to smile at one another these days.

As someone who's worked in retail, this game is 💯 accurate. 😢

Oh trust me, this is accurate. If you work at franchise retail stores you may be (heavily) fined for things like:
Being late.
Opening/closing store late.
Opening/closing store early.
Taking out mobile phone at any point outside of staff room.
Smoking on premises.
Smoking (anywhere, even in your car or house) in uniform.


And the managers? Whoa boy, they turn into Naz! Prison Camp guards.
Retail is one of most soul sucking work possible.

I thought he said this was supposed to be exaggerated. This seems like any other Friday sale start to me. If it were Black Friday there would probably be weapons in the hands of the customers.

I generally hope that there's going to be a true and good ending to the game where we play we break the cycle of rudeness exposed to evil corporations and exposed to evil managers running the show and our character finally can his bill and get a better job.

I have a theory/idea for the new loyal customer for night 3, In NOTC .

A influencer that will probably do the dumbest stuff by sabotaging our work and probably pressure us when we're trying to help them .

You will never be able to truly appreciate this game unless if you actually worked at retail before, I saw gameplay of it and it's so painfully accurate XD

What Nina has is called "Smiling Mask Syndrome." A very real thing.

I guess I was really lucky. My old job was stocking shelves at a grocery store. (not saying which one)

And it was really mellow. Customers were very nice. I could start up a conversation with any of my coworkers when we worked. And it was a pretty easy job.

Then again. I did also have some chaotic days. They were just few and far between.
