China has been rapidly advancing its military with developing short range air defense systems that are capable of detecting and dealing with low flying aircraft such as drones. SHORAD systems has already been repeatedly prioritized by Chinese President Xi Jinping himself. Earlier this month at the Zhuhai Air Show, Chinese Arm makers revealed the Type 625E AA Gun Missile Integrated Weapon System which was the highlight of the day. The only and ultimate way to counter kamikaze drones is to produce far more drones than your rival can. If China decided to change its toy, commercial, and agricultural drone product line into kamikaze drones, we could expect a capacity of around 900k to 1.5M drones per year which is genuinely a nightmare to the enemy

Well thought, drones flying low are difficult to track by radars. China has thought well on how to stop these drones using mobile vehicles equipped with short range missiles. Great idea, because drones can be launched anywhere and by using a mobile vehicle equipped with short range missiles these anti low-flying aircraft can be positioned anywhere too. Great China.

Interesting to note that Russia is using a similar mobile rapid fire/missile system with radar in their conflict in Ukraine. The media calls these Russian systems 'Terminators' after the famous movie of like name. The media says these are game changers in shooting down small drones or in combination with attacks featuring large caliber tanks. There must be good cross fertilization of ideas between Russia and China.

The Gatling gun has been used on naval ships before so use on land is an excellent transplant. The missiles look like air to air missiles adapted for use on land. Someone in the military think tank has come up with a brilliant idea.

To my knowledge, there is no equivalent in the west. If not, don't be surprised if the west copies the idea because it does appear that small drones will play an important part in any future military conflict.
