Boss Number One by Hugo Boss is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. Boss Number One was launched in 1985. The nose behind this fragrance is Pierre Wargnye. Top notes are artemisia, green apple, juniper, basil, grapefruit, caraway, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are honey, lavender, orris root, jasmine, sage, lily-of-the-valley, rose and geranium; base notes are sandalwood, amber, patchouli, cinnamon, musk, oakmoss, cedar and tobacco.

I just LOVE 80's men's colognes. Mostly because it just makes me think of sitting in the back of my dad's pick up truck but boy oh boy are they some great scents. Number One, Antaeus, Drakkar Noir are my faves

Just received my bottle today...this is a serious powerhouse!
I didn't expect it to be this powerful. I have "Xeryus" and it's a floral bomb from the 80's. I also have "Bijan" and that is my absolute FAVORITE vintage frag of all time 🧡🧡🧡 I also love "Lenvol De Cartier" for it's elegant Honey note and operator vibe.
This Boss #1 is like the "marlboro man" version of an 80's fragrance! It's more powerful than all of my three vintage frags combined but with aspects of them all.
The floral boom from Xeryus, the powerful blast of power from Bijan, and the smooth Honey note from Lenvol de Cartier...this is an AMAZING fragrance!
I seriously cannot wait to wear it out tomorrow!

How are you? I was just in Ross and they had ONE bottle of this stuff for 29.00 I had to buy bedding and other things so I couldn't get it right then. I purchased Boss back in 1988 while in the Air Force (I'm 62) .

I haven't seen this box for years. Like you is a POWERHOUSE💥 And also like you used to wear mine during the warm months.

I hid the box in the center of a table full of other fragrances😉 Hopefully, when I get paid on the 22nd, it'll still be there🤞🤞

My dad had this when i was a kid and i used to use this from time to time. I just bought a bottle and i love it . It is a great scent . You get the 80s vibe in my case it remind me of my childhood. Very happy that i could find it and buy it. Great review 👍

How did I miss this gem? Back in the day had all the classics including Kouros and have recently tried much of what's out today after strictly wearing one cologne for the past 15 years. Have been disappointed mostly except for G Gentleman (which I kept) but lastly thought I'd give this a go. Once my nose adjusted I started wearing HB # 1 to work and wow do I get all kinds of compliments. I'm no geezer but the oldies do it for me, whereas the modern stuff just does not. The only other fragrance on my radar is the original Dior Savage but now as a rule must test in store, but thanks for recommending this beauty, I really enjoy it!

Joy Bhai i love this fragrance in this winters. Very potent and has very good projection and longevity on me. Lasts even longer on the clothes. Keep up the good reviews bro.

I like old & new, borrowed & blue....never tried boss 1...mm sounds good, autumn/ winter frag, old school...Aramis, APH, GG.etc. I think the reforms are more refined, you don't need to blow someone out the window ! Sometimes less is more. Great review, with scents in the same category.

Boss It was reformulated to boss no 1, really it was the best perfume ever indeed !!!!
