Alexander Lemtov: Lion of Love (Eurovision 2020 Finale)

Russia's winning entry to Eurovision 2020 with Alexander Lemtov's "Lion of Love".

Shout out to the marvellous LIVE from Eurovision Song Contest edit by Ben Windibank:

Differences of this edit as compared to Ben's: higher resolution, no repeating shots of the performance itself, tons of incongruous filler, and a good number of glaring logical and editing mistakes thrown in as a bonus (because I don't actually know how to edit videos, nor own any dedicated software for that purpose; so this is as good as it's going to get).

Also a shout out to Erik Mjönes, who may not be Dan Stevens but is adorable in his own right:

Dan Stevens is so undertated. He was the best actor in Eurovision.

the fact that the eurovision was cancelled in 2020 so we can all pretend this was the real 2020 eurovision is the greatest thing about it

You know this would hit the Top 10 in the real Eurovision, easily. His performance is too good not to vote for. 😂

Dan Stevens stole the movie as the alluring and talented Alexander Lemtov so much that he deserves to have his own movie, with Dan Stevens as Alexander still.

He's definitely not gay. He is Russian!

They caught the spirit of Eurovision perfectly with this.

One of the many moments when this movie was more Eurovision than actual Eurovision

Dan Steven's hilarious yet touching portrayal will definitely earn him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a comedy or Musical. This is exactly the type of runaway performance that wins such awards as he stands out and steals every scene he is in.

If I send this to my mother she will believe this is the Russian song for ESC this year. 🤣🤣

I think in the real Eurovision he would have a big chance to win!

He and that jumping gazelle in the background was the best part of the movie.
The fact that he sounded like Bascov and dressed like Kirkorov (the Russian singer the actor was inspired for the personage) was priceless, sadly it’s something that only Russians can appreciate.
But at least the “He/Him” and the “mother Russian don’t letting him to be happy” was evident for everyone, it’s nice to see that they added social/politics criticism presented as a comedy.

He looked so familiar that I first thought "is he really some russian singer"? Than I realized that he is Matthew from downtown abbey! Besides exploiting some stereotypes about russian oligarchs and trolling gay theme (fairly), the character is surprisingly so positive and adorable. I was expecting some evil twist, but no, just a super hot and reach guy.

This is especially hilarious to me because I've just been marathon-rewatching Downton Abbey XD

I am Russian and those Muricans did a very good job to show a Russian show.
I myself was having almost a heartattack from laughter just by watching this.
I mean, Dima Bilan was not much better.

I love how they were like "let's give Russia the most homoerotic song ever but just macho enough that they can be like 'this is purely heterosexual'" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Actually, this song has a better lyrics with more sence than many ESC songs in recent years the dancers tearing singer's shirt-nice touch 🤣😂.
