I dedicated this song to quitting smoking, didn’t smoke very long but I thought it was a bad habit worth quitting, this is the last song I listened to before my last cigarette a year ago. Cheers to that, I gave a bit of my life for a buzz, but I’m over that now :)

Breakfast in America is undoubtedly one on best albums ever released in the 70, s hands down.its so radio perfect for any situation. On your boat fishing, reading a book in the backyard, going home for Christmas after 4 months on the road, at work trying to finish your 10 hour day. Any of these are perfect for listening to Supertramp. Great band!

I'll always remember hearing this song on my grandmother's porch in 1990 as the sun was going down right before dinner and in the car with my father. There's a hint of sadness and weakness and longing buried in the music and the words but the music is so bright and heavenly. It feels beautiful and vulnerable yet optimistic and hopeful in a sense.
