Passengers movie│stockholm syndrome│passengers review
Although much has been made of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt’s crackling chemistry in Passengers, the sci-fi romance out in theaters December 21, the film’s most stunning visual has nothing to do with the actors’ interstellar romance or their panoramic view of the planets. The most magnificent image arrives about three-quarters through the film when the spaceship that Lawrence and Pratt are inhabiting loses gravity onboard. At that exact moment, Lawrence happens to be swimming in the ship’s pool—this is the future—and what follows is a sequence in which viewers see what happens to Lawrence when she, and the 800-or-so gallons of water enveloping her, lose gravitational pull.
