needs to be repeated - their fund IS NOT A CHARITY registered with the charities commission. It's a company with a board of directors, registered at companies house.

Seems important to make sure everybody knows this.

The thing this couple cannot lay at the feet of their accusers is their act of neglect. Try as they might, they cannot excuse the act of leaving 3 children under 4, alone in an apartment, while they went off with their friends. Most people who are asked would agree that it was neglect. The fact they are care workers makes it worse.

Just for the record, according to the Madeleine Fund’s website, they don’t qualify for charity status because they are “focused on searching for only one child. However, if the objects of the fund are fulfilled and subsequently changed to concentrate on multiple similar cases, it may then be possible to acquire charitable status.”

But since the objectives are to “secure the safe return of madeleine” and “to provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine’s family, ” the objectives will never be fulfilled. It’s not even a charity, nor will it ever be!

Mrs McCann nee Healy doesn’t display the typical disposition of a distraught mother, she never did.
Even at the time of the ‘abduction’ she was always fresh faced, well groomed, hair done, even wearing matching earring and necklace sets.
Distraught mothers are usually a mess. Bleary eyed from lack of sleep, unkempt, depressed, tearful, showing despair.
None of this from either of them. Both cocky, arrogant, coming out with smart sarcastic responses to the media. Most telling is her refusal to answer almost *FIFTY* questions put to her by the police. If my daughter was missing I’d have been eager to give police every speck of information I could.

It strikes as being odd that despite wanting to keep the fund alive, they never thought about selling their large house, moving to somewhere snaller and using the profit to help fund the seach.

I lost my son from cancer in July and I can’t even think of his name and I can’t stop crying. My son was 58 years old so I can’t imagine I would cope if I lost a beautiful baby girl. The pain is never going to go away so I am amazed how calm they appear.
