You don't need to remember everything from your high school science courses to succeed on the ACT Science section. All you need is a basic understanding of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth and space science, along with good reading and inference skills. Focus on reading the questions first, and then scanning the text provided for answers. Mark up the booklet as much as you feel is helpful! Don't focus on recall of outside facts, as you are being tested on your ability to understand and infer from data provided. Also, feel free to answer the questions in whichever order you would like; however, know that the first question is most likely going to be easier than the last question. Look out for words like: generally, most likely, may, and often, rather than more definitive language (like always and every). Always note the units of measure, and pay attention to the keys and notes alongside the graphs and charts.
