is this the exact model used in bssm? There are three types of model: This model with the logo on the left side, one of the fx65 with the hitalic typography on the left as well and another with the dod in the center.

Thanks! Nice of you to put up such a detailed and in depth response. That was exactly how I felt about the FX64 after the clips I heard. But audio clips only tell you so much.

You can either use a 9 volt battery or 9 volt adapter. The end of the adaptor needs an adaptor to fit a smaller input - its the smaller jack like an ipod.

Best setting is always with the Speed set low (the only way you did not demo it). Frusciante used it with Speed set low on Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Loving mine! Just great warm chorus, more enjoyable than most I compared with.

Honestly, I feel the fx65 has a much more natural sound and it gives an analog type sound. The fx 64 Ice Box gives a more digital processed feel. I have used the ice box in the past with very unusual music as it gives an almost "robotic" feel on extreme settings. Also, the Ice Box has some good tones, but you have to put in some work to find them. The FX 65 is easier to use with only 3 knobs (more knobs in not always better!) and really doesn't have bad tones anywhere. Hope this helps.

How much does the DOD FX65 need a power requirement (mA)?

Hey dude, what do you think is the main difference between FX65 and FX64? Do you think they can work good on bass? Thanks! Great channel you have!

Hi, nice demos! How would you compare this to the fx64, in terms of ease of use and tone? I think the fx65 seems to sound good at just about any setting this demo, can't say that about the 64. I'm just looking for a very "natural" chorus.

Oh, and one last question. Can you power it with a standard 9 volt power adapter?

I found one for €15 and it sounds superb.

I've had my fx 65 since 1984 during my hair band era. I will never part with it because it can sound just like the rotating Leslie and no other chorus pedal has topped this, not even the later fx 65's.

Anyone who prefers paying a lot more $$ because a pedal is pretty cosmetically has got a foot fetish. BTW DOD FX60's and FX65's are BETTER sounding, and just as rugged as BOSS CE2 and CE3. And you can switch them on/bypass with your precious pinky toe.😊

I'm sorry, but I just have to laugh every time I hear someone pronounce "mono" as "mah - no" as in the kissing disease "mononucleosis", instead of the proper way to say it: "moe - no" that actually rhymes with the other audio term "phono" !
