The first time I heard this, back in the late 1990's. I thought of my Mom telling me when she walked to school the stories about her and her friends back in the mid 1930's to the early 1940's in Farmington Michigan. I don't know why this song would bring up these thoughts, but it did. Now, she has been gone a few years now. However, when I hear this song, it still brings back pictures in my mind of the stories she told me. Miss you Mom!

It was the day before Kobe Bryant died when my mom's twin sister, my dearest aunt Cristie passed away in her sleep after a long battle with cancer.
She was single all her life. Dedicated her time with our granda until the end.
She was my favorite and I was hers. She took care of me since I was a baby. She even breastfed me to everyones surprise. I was like a son to her and lived with her until high school.
My last days with her was precious to me. We played "On my way home" at her funeral.

Thank you aunt Cristie, We love you and I miss you. 😥
