My Secret Strategy For High Ping PvP...

As someone who lives in Singapore, I've had years of experience playing on high ping, as majority of the noteable servers don't have an Asia proxy, or host in the area. Even MMC only recently added the AS proxy. As such, I've found a number of small tricks that can aid in levelling the playing field for players with high ping.

I've played with high ping for quite a while and for hypixel I can say that if you start forcing trades you will almost always win them if you have good w tap timings because of how hypixel's knockback works. Instead of going backwards, you'll end up only taking vertical knockback, not only will you not move but most of your hits are going to be crits.

well, there are niche advantages for high ping: delayed kb - prob easier to hitselect, chaotic maneuvers - messing up enemy aim, annoy enemies - psychological warfare advantage
but disadvantages are far more brutal: hit trading is mostly going for loss (enemy hits earlier), due to delayed kb enemy can perform double hits far more often (sends you flying off the map), later reaction (explained in the video), overall less movement arsenal (block-offs don't work because enemy goes through them, block disappears), higher potential of anti-cheat restriction triggering (strange movements from high ping is smth to worry about), can disconnect forcefully (painful)

As someone with 200ms that plays 1.8 pvp too much, I've gotten to the point where it seems like an advantage to have high ms.

I'm saying this because I've played on a private server with my friend where we both got about 60ms and I found it a lot harder to get conbos. I will admit though that the physics to seem to make more sense and I'm sure that I could get better if I played it more often

Do you think the same technique can help with projectiles by theoretically shooting everything a few ms earlier than usual?

Also if the scenario is opposite. If I'm the low ms player and I fight someone with high ping then it's more appropriate to delay the wtap by a bit than to wtap earlier by a bit?
