They are always so rude there I don’t think would ask for anything there 😫

Last time I visited a Sephora a lady asked me LITERALLY ‘do you have enough money to buy more than 3 products? To see if I show you some or just the lipstick you want’, usually I wouldn’t mind a couple of ‘rude’ comments but the nerve to ask if I had enough money really surprised me.
Sephora used to be cool :(

I've found that in makeup stores like sephora, if you aren't wearing makeup, the staff are so incredibly rude and don't give you the time of day. Like you're not worth their time or effort. And if you do ask a question, they basically roll their eyes at you and give you a non-helpful answer. That's why I buy makeup online.

I go to ulta. Every time they were friendly. I’ve never been to Sephora reading the comments I’ll stay away.

Sephora employees keep the samples for themselves I knew a person who use to have so many samples that she was selling them to me that's why they say they don't have any!

i see a lot of people in the comments talking about rude workers at sephora and I agree. Literally the first and only time I went into a sephora (i never wear makeup btw) I just went with my sister because she needed a purple shampoo. She wanted a specific shampoo and I asked an employee if they had the brand and I have really dirty blonde hair almost brunette, idk if that had anything to do with it but she looked at me like I was stupid for like 5 extremely uncomfortable seconds, she literally said nothing and then my sister walks up and asks about the shampoo and she helped her immediately. Idk maybe u gotta look a certain way to get respect at sephora or maybe sephora just happens to hire a lot of rude people😂🤷‍♀️

Am i the only one with a pretty chill Sephora staff?? They're always so helpful. They color matched me and my mom for foundation and were super nice about it

Not even exaggerating, every single time I've gone I ask for pre made samples and they say they don't have any.

They just deny having samples. I guess I live near a rude one

Sephora got too big for their customers. I was a member when it was 3 free samples in every bag, no questions asked. Want a new fragrance but are not 100%, they would bottle you a sample right there.
No offense to the "makeup influencers" but they have made it worse. Nearly everyone looks like a clown and customizable palates are gone now and your options are single shades or the palates that are used at face painting parties.

Sephora is different now. Haven't been a Rouge member for 2 years b/c they can be so rude in some stores... Employees are costing Sephora big time!

Sephora workers treat you like you’re broke. Sephora is traumatic for me.

I worked at Ulta. It's really sad how shady the beauty industry is. I was always super nice to everyone because that's who I am. I'm not a snobby girl like the other employees. I got bullied and harassed to the point where false information got relayed back to the store manager saying I didn't do my work, left early, treated customers bad and a bunch of other stuff. I had some employees that stuck up for me because none of that was true. I was good with the customers, I would foundation match perfect and customers would personally ask for me to help them but I decided to leave. It wasn't worth it. It was obvious the store manager loved the drama too. Its sad a 19 year old is more mature than these wanna be 25-30 year old influencers.

I had 3 little samples of different creams that came in little envelopes packs (like ketchup) I walked with them in hand in front of an employee and she snatched them off my hand and said “ those aren’t for you!! “ she didn’t have to scream or snatch them like that. I said oh sorry they were labeled samples. She replied “ only if you spend $150 on the brand ! Like dayummmm the heck was I supposed to know

I've never been to Sephora and after reading all these comments I probably won't lol. I usually go to Ulta and everyone I've come across there has been very friendly and helpful. I've yet to feel judged my just walking in 😂

1 thing I will never do after leaving Sephora...is go back to Sephora. They killed any liking or passion I had for Makeup. I worked there for 3 years in Soho and Meatpacking.

I don't have a sephora in my part of the uk but I always find beauty stores need to stop with thinking they own the samples it's ridiculous. Only time I've ever been offered samples is when I spent loads of money at a chanel or lancome counter and I'm talk one little perfume sample. Weirdly enough when my partner buys me stuff for Christmas from the same places he gets so much samples for me without asking 🤔🙄

Usually I hate shopping in stores like Sephora or Ulta because my anxiety spikes but last time I was in Sephora, I had such a pleasant time. I was dressed up and ready with makeup and hair done because it helps ease some anxiety when I know I “got ready for the day”. I went in with the intention of shopping for gifts for my cousin’s birthday and I had several workers ask if I needed help and they were all so kind to me. I left with a bunch of stuff in hand, no buyers remorse, no anxiety or secondhand embarrassment, and no tears 🥹 Usually I have an awful time by myself, but this was the exception! I will remember to ask for samples next time as well!!
