I totally was going to invest in a light box, but now I’m not going to waste my money. Thanks so much!

"Don't use two lights, you only need one light, is all you need".

A couple days ago my three led lights with floor stands arrived, guess I'm over prepared now.

Thank you for the awesome tips Emil, will try them later tonight.

I was having trouble with getting a proper reproduction of the colours I was seeing on the mini in my photographs. I got way into my head and tried all kinds of crazy things over the last year. Then this video popped into my feed. You brought me back to basics and reminded me that often, simple is best. This setup is great. Thank you.

I never would have imagined simply bracing a curled-up sheet of paper would produce such amazing photo results. They turned out beautifully. Thanks for saving me money I would have spent on a lightbox. ♥

Ooooh I need more of this, I'm NOT a photographer and the pictures of my minies make me cringe. Thanks for the informative video.

Thanks, man. I always overthink these things and it leads to inaction on my part. It's nice to be reminded to keep stuff simple.

Thanks for all the tips and also for listing the lamp you use; I've been looking for a good one for a while!

Some very good tips on miniature placement. Good to know farther from the background is better. 👍 I'll also need to pick up a daylight LED bulb as well. Thankfully it's a tiny investment.

Good points Emil. I pretty much do the same thing with the same equipment (ie phone) and I get pretty good results. I'm going to take your advice and move my models closer to the front of the backdrop and see if that improves things. Thanks for the tips.

That is an extremely useful video, wish I had seen it before I went through different light boxes first. I actually use the same method of taking pics now but the tip about moving source of light and placing the miniature to the front will come in handy for sure
