Designing a music infographic | CharliMarieTV

I love looking at data and the stories that emerge from it, even more so when that data is about my music listening habits! This year I created an infographic to display some of that information, and I hope you like hearing a bit about my process in this video! I give you some advice for creating your own infographic and some tips and tricks on what to do and what to avoid. Hope you enjoy it!

This is amazing - the infographic is such a powerful way to present your data! I've been keeping my own personal data on loads on different stuff for years! Wonderful video- and so timely too! I've got a motion graphics project going on this exact topic. I've watched a lot of people discuss the design, but so few people focus on the storytelling! I'm glad you brought it up, as I find it's a very important step in designing just about everything!

Illustrator's graphing tool is saving my life for an annual report I'm working on for a client right now. I can't imagine having to figure out all the proportions for pie charts and bar graphs without it! Your graph is really well done and you have really great tips in this video. I think I'll save up for sketch, I've seen you talk about it in multiple videos and it seems a bit less clunky than illustrator.

This is a pretty great infogaphic! Really like the visual elements and the information comes across very easy to understand. Great tips as well. I'm now going to create an infographic of my own around running (im a distance runner).

I loved seeing it on your site, and now it's amazing to hear the story behind it.. I love that you said to find the story in the data.. :D that's pretty cool. Reminds me of a scene on Breakfast at Tiffany's :3 it's almost poetic.. hahahaha sorry, completely dramatized it.

I can still see your design style in it, though you're also just trying stuff like gradient. like i can tell it's yours :D i might do it too, it's pretty cool being able to talk about your work.. and it's great practice to present work too! hmmmnn.. good idea! :3
