One thing I love about this is seeing what seedlings from particular plants look like. This is helpful for a newbie like me. When things self sow it really helps with plant ID to know what the babies look like.

Great video and love the new format. I’m sure you probably see everything you do as just ”the usual day on the farm”, but getting an insight into it is absolutely invaluable. Thank you!

First off I love watching and learning from your videos! set my mind at ease about how I am going about putting my field to bed for the Winter.
I cut everything down and left the roots and added about 4 inches of mushroom compost I was able to score....I wasn't sure if I could plant straight into this come Spring or if I would need to do a swallow till. After seeing you plant right beside the old stock I feel confident going about it this way too. xo

Fabulous video! Does the old root left in ground cause issues at all? I live this idea as I have a ton of beds to do over coming months, thanks!!

Really enjoyed the video. I'm new to cover crops. I know it's beneficial to soil, but would love to know more.. When, what, to plant? Do you then cut down at certain stage of growth etc? Thanks 😊🌿

Last year I left lots of canna roots in my flower bed, but in the spring it was loaded with sow bugs/pill bugs.
Will they harm the new plants when their rotted food source is gone?

Are you doing a trial to compare different effects the soils have on plants, re your amendments versus fertilised versus no intervention?

I ferment my kitchen scraps with bokashi then bury it in the soil. I will be putting my amaranth plants in and expect that will “kill “ the seeds. I’ll let you know.

Love the sound of your 'Christmas pressie' aka shredder. I made the mistake a couple of years ago of buying a chipper... kept getting jammed with the green stuff. What make and model did you end up getting? 🌸

Would love to know average temps during days and overnight where you are with each of your "in the field" videos. I like this format just as much as your traditional videos. 😊
